Nottingham Forest fixtures 25/26 in full with crunch City Ground opener and big game to finish

Nottingham Forest will kick off their 2025/26 Premier League campaign at the City Ground with a visit from Brentford.

After finishing seventh last season, the Reds will be aiming to build on those foundations when the action begins again in August. And it is a home opener for Nuno Espirito Santo’s men, with the Bees set to be under new management by then following the departure of Thomas Frank.

Forest will have the added challenge of European football to factor into their schedule next term, having qualified for the UEFA Conference League. They will be keen to get off to a good start in the league, and two of their first three fixtures are at home.

After the clash with Brentford, the Reds will make the trip to face Crystal Palace the following weekend. They will then see out August against West Ham United on the banks of the Trent.

Games against eventual title winners Liverpool were particularly memorable in 2024/25, with Forest winning at Anfield and drawing 1-1 in the reverse fixture. This time around they will travel to Merseyside on November 22 and host Arne Slot’s team on February 21.

The Reds’ Christmas programme presents them with back-to-back matches at the City Ground. Manchester City will be the visitors on December 27, followed by Everton on December 30.

Forest’s dip in form towards the end of last season saw them drop out of the top five and miss out on the Champions League spots. With that in mind, they will no doubt be aiming to finish strongly next May.

They look to have a potentially challenging run-in, however. The final month of the season will see them away to Chelsea and Manchester United either side of a home game with Newcastle United. They will then bring the curtain down on the campaign against Bournemouth at the City Ground on May 24.
