Everton to open Hill Dickinson Stadium against Brighton on second weekend of Premier League season

After closing Goodison Park last season, Everton will play their very first game at the new Hill Dickinson Stadium on Bramley Moore Dock against Brighton & Hove Albion on the second weekend of the 2025/26 Premier League season.

The Toffees begin the campaign away at newly-promoted Leeds, with the game moved to Monday 18 August for live coverage on Sky Sports. Their final game of the season is also away at Tottenham on 24 May.

The Brighton game is provisionally scheduled for Saturday 23 August at 15:00 BST, but that will almost certainly be changed for live UK TV coverage.

The opening round of matches will be played on the weekend of Saturday 16th August 2025, with the final match round on Sunday 24 May 2026, when all matches will kick off simultaneously as usual. See all 380 Premier League fixtures here.

The 2025/26 season will consist of 33 weekends and five midweek match rounds, and the season end date of 24 May 2026 ensures the Premier League season finishes ahead of the FIFA 2026 World Cup call-up period.

The first Merseyside Derby of the season will be at Anfield on 20 September, with the Hill Dickinson Stadium welcoming Liverpool for the first time on 18 April.

The festive period will see Everton host Arsenal on 20 December, before they take on Burnley away on 27 December. A quirk of the fixture list sees Everton play Nottingham Forest twice that month, on the 6th and the 30th - their final game of 2025. Their first league fixture of 2026 is going to be home to Brentford on 3 January.

The return game against Leeds is on 24 January with fellow promoted side Burnley taking on the Toffees at Bramley Moore on 4 March.

Sunderland, back in the top flight for the first time in eight years, host Everton on 1 November before heading to Merseyside for Everton’s final home game of the season on 18 May.
