Manchester United will face Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea in their first five Premier League fixtureS of the 2025-26 season.
United host Arsenal on Sunday August 17 in a 1630 kick-off at Old Trafford and their first away game is at Fulham the weekend of August 23.
After the visit of Burnley in late August, United resume their season after the September internationals with the first Manchester derby at the Etihad on the weekend of September 13. Chelsea head to United the following week.
United take on Liverpool at Anfield on October 18, with the reverse fixture not until the first weekend of May. Their first fixture of 2026 will be against Leeds United at Elland Road and their final match is away to Brighton.
The mid-August visit of Arsenal will bring back memories of United's opening-day thrashing of the Gunners in 1989. Arsenal, champions at the time, were vanquished 4-1 at Old Trafford in a game just as memorable for budding owner Michael Knighton's pre-match ball-juggling in front of the Stretford End.
United are scheduled to play Newcastle United at home in their Boxing Day game, which could be pushed back to December 27 or 28.
The opening weekend match with Arsenal is the only one with a confirmed kick-off date and time. The other 37 fixtures will be confirmed by the Premier League throughout the season.
