Fixture computer hands Gunners tough start to 2025/26 campaign

If you thought Arsenal had a tough start to the 2024/25 campaign, then you’ll want to grab yourself a stiff drink because the fixture computer has not been kind ahead of next season.

After opening the campaign away at Manchester United on Sunday, 17 August, Mikel Arteta’s side will host newly promoted Leeds before facing four of last season’s top seven on the bounce, starting with a trip to Anfield. Home games with Nottingham Forest and Manchester City follow before another crunch clash away at Newcastle.

Arsenal will host the first north London derby of the season on 22nd November before heading to Sp*rs towards the end of February. It’s worth noting Liverpool come to London in early January during AFCON, which might rule out Mo Salah. We’ll see.

Everton, Brighton, Aston Villa and Bournemouth make up the Christmas schedule which, according to the Premier League, allows for more rest time for players, with no two rounds taking place within 60 hours of each other.

Arsenal’s final six games of the season include a trip to Manchester City (aren’t they supposed to be in League Two by now?), visits from Newcastle, Fulham and Burnley and further away days at West Ham and, on the final day of the season, Crystal Palace.

We’ve colour-coded the Champions League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup fixtures below so you can see the pinch points.

The following disclaimers are in place:

TV selections have only been made for the opening weekend of the season, so all the other fixtures are subject to change.

Clubs in European competition may see fixtures moved to Sunday in weeks where they are playing in midweek.

With the Champions League having Thursday fixtures on matchweek one this season, that could affect our home game against Manchester City on Saturday, September 20.

The Premier League have also committed to giving supporters a minimum of six weeks’ notice (from the first match in the relevant month) on broadcast selections until December 2025, and five weeks from January 2025 until the penultimate game of the season.
