Leeds United keen on 15-cap international as Junior Firpo replacement

Leeds United hold an interest in LOSC Lille man Gabriel Gudmudsson in their new left-back search, as per the Yorkshire Evening Post.

Leeds United are gearing up for their Premier League return after winning the Championship title. LUFC will be out to make a splash in their bid to become a top flight regular again.

Of course though, the primary goal for the first season back up is to simply survive.

And, to do so, the Whites must strengthen across the board. Manager Daniel Farke seem very clear on that front, with Lukas Nmecha already through the door and several other players eyed.

Now, it has been claimed that the latest player on the Leeds United radar is LOSC Lille left-back Gabriel Gudmundsson.

The Yorkshire Evening Post reports that the Whites are very interested in the Sweden international amid the expectation that Junior Firpo will be accepting an offer to leave. He was likely to hold a less prevalent starting XI role for the rise to the Premier League.

It seems likely that Gudmundsson leaves Lille this summer and with a year left on his contract, a deal for LUFC seems feasible if they choose to zero in on him.
