Manchester City's 2025/26 Premier League fixtures were confirmed on Wednesday morning, with fans now able to start planning ahead of the new campaign.

City relinquished their Premier League title last season, having won the league four years on the spin, finishing in a disappointing third place.

They are gunning to reclaim their title this season and now they have their calendar, they can start preparations for some of the key dates of the season.

With that in mind, from derby day to the opening and final games of the season, here is a look at some of City's key fixtures across the season.

Opening day trip

City have been handed an opening day trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers. Vitor Pereira's side ended last season strongly and it could prove to be a tricky tie to begin the season.

That being said, Pep Guardiola's side have an excellent record at Molineux and have won on four of their last five visits to the Black Country.

Derby day

After the first game of the season, the next fixture City fans will always search for is when they will face Manchester United in the Manchester derby.

The first Manchester derby of last season's Premier League came in mid-December but City will host United at the Etihad Stadium on the weekend of September 13.

The reverse fixture at Old Trafford will be played on the weekend of January 17 and City will be hoping for better fortune against their cross-city rivals this season after failing to beat them last term.

Festive fixtures

Where City will be playing over the festive period is always an exciting prospect for supporters and they will have two away trips to look forward to.

On the weekend of Boxing Day, City will make the trip to Nottingham Forest before making the journey to the north east to take on newly-promoted Sunderland around December 30.

City will then return to the Etihad to host Chelsea on the weekend of January 3, in what will be their first game of 2026.

Liverpool and Arsenal clashes

If City are to regain their Premier League title, then their biggest threat will likely come in the shape of Liverpool and Arsenal.

As such, the fixtures between the three sides will be more crucial than ever as City look to steal a march over their rivals.

City face a trip to the Emirates Stadium to take on the Gunners on the weekend of September 20. They then welcome Liverpool to the Etihad on the weekend of November 8.

In the return fixtures, City make the trip to Anfield on the weekend of February 7 before welcoming Arsenal to the Etihad on the weekend of April 18.

Final day repeat?

City famously won the Premier League title against Aston Villa on the final day of the season back in 2022.

That day, Guardiola's side fell 2-0 behind at the Etihad Stadium to hand the title advantage to Liverpool. But three goals in the space of five second half minutes, courtesy of a brace from Ilkay Gundogan and a goal from Rodri, swung the title back in their favour.

Hopefully any title charge this season won't be reliant on any last day dramatics but Villa will be the opponents at the Etihad again should it be required.
