Aston Villa's promising young forward Morgan Rogers is attracting interest from a host of clubs across the world this summer, including Premier League rivals Chelsea and Arsenal—but now the Villans have made their stance clear.
The Englishman played a starring role under Unai Emery last season, cementing his place as one of the most promising talents in the top tier as he scored 12 and assisted 12 in 49 Premier League and Champions League games.
Form that also saw him take to the international stage, winning four caps for England as he became a contender for Thomas Tuchel's World Cup 2026 squad.
With the threat of PSR looming, and supporters fearing Villa may have to sell to buy, concerns have been raised that Monchi may opt to cash-in on the 22-year-old.
A number of replacements have already been linked including the likes of Manchester United's Alejandro Garnacho and a potential Villa Park homecoming for Manchester City's Jack Grealish.
But according to the Daily Mail, the Villans have 'no plans' for Rogers to leave the Midlands this summer.
It claims the club will still have to sell in order to comply with Premier League spending rules, but have instead named the likes of Jacob Ramsey and Leon Bailey as more likely departures to boost the balance sheet.
While Lucas Digne, who arrived at Villa from Everton in 2022, has just one year left on his deal and could be headed for the exit door with Atletico Madrid one of many suitors.
Speaking to Prime Casino about Rogers' future, former striker Emile Heskey said: "I think he needs to really be careful. He's a huge asset for Villa, right now he’s a fantastic player.
"But he's got to choose wisely in the sense, I would stay at Villa if I was him, establish myself, play more football because if you go to a theoretically bigger club and you don't play football, you're wasting your talent.
"He's got to play, I love the way that he plays. He plays with enthusiasm, he plays with freedom and he's a very good player. So I would suggest he stays at Villa for another season at least."
