Arsenal could seal a move for RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko as soon as this month, journalist Ben Jacobs has revealed.
The Gunners are believed to be working towards a deal for the Slovenia international, and if they manage to reach a breakthrough in club-to-club talks, Sesko’s move to the Emirates could reportedly be completed before the end of June.
Jacobs claims Sesko is one to watch in the final two weeks of the month, after Arsenal earmarked him as their top striker target alongside Sporting Lisbon star Viktor Gyokeres.
The North London club are said to be exploring both deals at the moment, with Sesko expected to cost around €80m (£67m) – his release clause at Leipzig.

Jacobs, speaking on talkSPORT, revealed that Arsenal could strike a deal for Sesko in the coming two weeks if they manage to agree a fee with Leipzig:
“Well, I think it also comes down to the player. If they agree a fee for Sesko, I think that one could actually be done when the window opens on the 16th of June.
“I’m not saying day one of when the window reopens, but certainly in the last two weeks of this month.”
Sesko was heavily linked with a move to Arsenal last summer, before he penned a new five-year deal with Leipzig and ended any speculation for the time being.
The ‘unbelievable’ Slovenia international has enjoyed a career-best season in Germany, scoring 21 goals and providing six assists in 45 appearances across all competitions.
Arsenal are also close to sealing their first two signings of the summer, with Spanish duo Martin Zubimendi and Kepa Arrizabalaga set to join.
The Gunners are expected to activate both players’ release clauses, with Zubimendi’s at Real Sociedad reportedly standing at £51m, while Kepa’s arrival from Chelsea will only cost £5m.
