When Buffalo Bills fans wake up on the morning of Sunday, September 7th, there will be a sense of happiness and excitement as later on in the night, they will get the chance to watch the Bills take the field for Sunday Night Football against the Baltimore Ravens.
After their season ended last year in yet another heartbreak, the Bills will be looking to finally get over the hump that they can’t get over in the playoffs. However, they will be tested right out of the gate at the start of the regular season. We know that Baltimore is a tough opponent, but the Bills shouldn’t be afraid at all.
While a lot of the hype will be about Buffalo and Baltimore leading up to Week 1, there are a good amount of games that fans should be excited to watch this coming season on the Bills' schedule.
Five games NFL fans do not want to miss on Bills' schedule
5.) Bills vs. Buccaneers - Week 11
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had a smooth transition from Tom Brady to Baker Mayfield as they continue to dominate the NFC South. Much like Buffalo, Tampa Bay improved this offseason and also brought back Chris Godwin to pair with Mike Evans. In addition, they discovered last season just how great running back Bucky Irving can be. The last time these two teams met was back in 2023 where it came down to a Hail Mary pass by Mayfield, but the Bills defended their dirt and won 24-18. Tampa Bay visits Buffalo in Week 11 this season.
4.) Bills vs. Bengals - Week 14
I mean, come on. How could you not have a Josh Allen vs. Joe Burrow matchup on this list? The Bengals have had the Bills’ number in recent memory (both in the regular season and playoffs). Despite what’s going on with the Bengals and star pass rusher Trey Hendrickson, Cincinnati still has the best passing attack led by Burrow and their newly signed star wide receiver duo in Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. Cincinnati visits Buffalo in early December in Week 14.
3.) Bills vs. Patriots - Week 5
I really do believe that the Patriots are going to give the Bills a scare or two this coming season. They have a newly revamped coaching staff and roster for the better going into Drake Maye’s second year as a pro. With that being said, there are still going to be some growing pains and the Bills need to take advantage of that in Week 5 when the Patriots come to Buffalo for Sunday Night Football. Plus, we all know who will be making his return to Buffalo since being traded last offseason…
2.) Bills vs. Chiefs - Week 9
It’s the best rivalry in football right now between Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes. Everyone knows the history between these two teams. Buffalo has defeated the Chiefs every regular season since 2021, but the Chiefs always get the last laugh in the playoffs. This game should come down to the wire like it always does and even though a win against the Chiefs is the goal, the ultimate goal is take them down in the playoffs.
1.) Bills vs. Ravens - Week 1
The NFL has the perfect opening weekend Sunday Night Football matchup between the Bills and Ravens. In a rematch from last year’s divisional round, the Ravens will get an early shot at beating the Bills on their home turf while Buffalo will be looking to send Baltimore out of Western New York with an 0-1 start to their season. Every fan in the NFL, Bills fans, Ravens fans, fans of the sport in general should be tuning into this game on September 7th at 8:20PM EST.
