Mikel Arteta will begin his seventh season as Arsenal manager with an away trip to Manchester United as the 2025/26 Premier League fixtures are announced.
This will be only the second time Arsenal have met the Red Devils on the opening weekend, as they have been handed a difficult start. Both sides will fight it out at 16:30 on Sunday, August 18, in front of the Sky Sports cameras.
The Gunners have finished as runners-up in all of the last three campaigns, a feat that has seen questions arise over whether Arteta can get his side over the line.
A tough start awaits Arsenal as they face five clubs who finished within the top seven of the Premier League last season in their opening six matches. Fixtures include Man Utd (A), Leeds United (H), Liverpool (A), Nottingham Forest (H), Manchester City (H), Newcastle United (A) in August and September.
Notable Fixtures
The North London Derby is always one of the most entertaining fixtures in the Premier League. This season, Arsenal will face a Tottenham Hotspur side under new management in Thomas Frank. The former Brentford manager will hope for a better record against the Gunners than his previous boss, Ange Postecoglou, who could not beat Spurs’ bitter rivals.
Arteta’s side will face Spurs at the Emirates on November 22 before making the return trip to the Tottenham Hotspur stadium on February 21.
