Man Utd star faces quadruple rejection blow after initiating talks, it’s a headache for Ruben Amorim

Manchester United and Ineos might be realising again just how hard it is to rebuild a club this size after another star faced a quadruple rejection blow.

It is an open secret that Man Utd are willing to listen to offers for most of the squad but it’s one thing being open to offers and another entirely to receive satisfying ones.

Not only is that a problem, but the player they already had an offer for, Jadon Sancho, got rescinded with United getting the most unwanted £5 million windfall of all time.

Jadon Sancho seems to have found a compatriot in that ignominy as his teammate at Old Trafford has faced a quadruple rejection blow after his expectations failed to meet reality.

Altay Bayindir gets rejected by four clubs

Of all the players United were willing to sell this summer, Altay Bayindir didn’t look like he would pose a problem to move.

Not only does the Turkish goalkeeper have international pedigree, but he has a genuine reason to leave to become a No. 1 elsewhere as the World Cup 2026 looms large.

Furthermore, United didn’t spend a king’s ransom on him so turning a profit on him, at least from a PSR perspective, wouldn’t be that hard.

As it turns out, Bayindir seems to have joined a long line of players who have seen their value crater after joining Old Trafford.

Turkish outlet Fotomac reports that Bayindir’s agent initiated talks with the “Big Four” of Turkey – Galatasaray, Besiktas, Fenerbahce, and Trabzonspor, only to be rejected by each one.

The situation gets further complicated because Bayindir generated interest from Caykur Rizespor, but the United man is aiming high and doesn’t want to join a team outside of these four.

The second option he’s keeping on the table is to stay in Europe but outside Turkey if a move to these four teams doesn’t materialise, which screams a deadline day cheap deal.

Ruben Amorim’s headache at Man Utd sales must be growing

Amorim’s first summer window at Sporting has turned into the stuff of legends as he engineered a mass rebuild by selling many players in one summer.

However, the financial reality and wage situation of Man Utd must be turning into a nightmare for him now that the club is finding it impossible to shift high-earning underachievers.

Even a backup goalkeeper at Man Utd feels he’s in a position to demand only the best, weakening the club’s negotiating stance further.

Add that to the bigger problems like Marcus Rashford, Sancho, Rasmus Hojlund, and Andre Onana, just to name a few, and the Man Utd manager’s headache must be growing.

The transfer window will come to a standstill if and when Mbeumo is signed because the money will need to be generated from sales after that.

As it stands, no sale is forthcoming, especially not a lucrative one, and the longer it drags into the window, the weaker United get in negotiations.
