The Oklahoma City Thunder are just one victory away from capping off their dominant season with a championship as they lead the Indiana Pacers 3-2 in the NBA Finals.
Of course, the Thunder were able to win Game 5 at home on Monday night to take the 3-2 advantage and they will have a chance to clinch the title on Thursday night in Indianapolis.
While the Thunder are still competing for a championship, they also have some key decisions to make this offseason regarding their roster and how they want to upgrade it after they were arguably the best team in the NBA all season.

Oklahoma City has built a dominant young core with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren leading the way but they could still elect to make some moves this summer in free agency.
Last offseason, the Thunder were able to sign Isaiah Hartenstein in free agency and then land Alex Caruso in a trade with the Chicago Bulls to add experience to their roster, which has worked out well.
They could elect to add another veteran this offseason and also reunite with a former MVP winner as they have been named among the favorites to sign Russell Westbrook in free agency.
According to Bovada, the Thunder have the sixth-best odds (+900) to reunite with Westbrook this summer.
The Miami Heat are the favorite (+260) to sign him and they are followed by the Dallas Mavericks (+325) and Sacramento Kings (+500).
Of course, Westbrook spent the first 11 years of his NBA career in Oklahoma City, helping lead them to an NBA Finals berth in 2012 along with winning his only MVP award in 2016-17.

Westbrook is no longer the MVP caliber player that he was during his time with the Thunder but he is still a solid backup point guard that could help Oklahoma City’s second unit.
Despite this, there should be many teams interested in the 36-year-old veteran this offseason but the Thunder could target a reunion with Westbrook to upgrade their bench.
