Florian Wirtz is expected to join Liverpool this week.
Dominik Szoboszlai has warned Florian Wirtz ahead of the German's expected move to Liverpool.
After weeks of speculation, it was recently reported that Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen had finally agreed on a package for Wirtz.
Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano wrote on social media: "EXCLUSIVE: Florian Wirtz to Liverpool, HERE WE GO! Liverpool verbally agree deal in principle with Bayer Leverkusen for package reaching €150m add-ons included."
Wirtz is now expected to travel to Liverpool this week to complete the formalities of the transfer.
Ahead of Wirtz's arrival, Liverpool fans have been wondering which player from the current starting XI could make way for the German.
As reported by This Is Anfield, Szoboszlai has sent Wirtz a clear warning.
The Hungarian was asked whether Wirtz's arrival could make it difficult for him to get into Arne Slot's starting XI.
He responded: "Well, if you say that my situation will be made more difficult, then let’s wait and see what happens after pre-season.
"In the end, you might be right, but I don’t give up my place that easily and I think he knows that getting into a Premier League-winning team takes work."
Szoboszlai continued: "Of course, if they buy a player for €150 million, it’s likely that they won’t keep him on the bench, but then we have to find the opportunity for the two of us to play together."

Aside from Wirtz, Liverpool have already sealed the deal for Jeremie Frimpong and is reportedly closing in on a move for Bournemouth full-back Milos Kerkez.
Romano recently said: "Milos Kerkez, not listening to any other call or approach as he’s gonna join Liverpool. It’s just matter of time and technical steps.
"Kerkez and Liverpool. Never in doubt."
In addition, the Reds have been linked with Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike, who is also attracting interest from Manchester United and Chelsea.
