A supercomputer has predicted that Liverpool will hold onto their Premier League title, beating Manchester City and Arsenal, following the release of the new season's fixtures on Wednesday morning.

Last season saw the Reds clinch their first title since 2020 under the leadership of Arne Slot, who took over from Jurgen Klopp. Arsenal ended up in second place for the third year running, while City's dreams of a fifth consecutive title defence ended in ruins.

Nottingham Forest emerged as the dark horse of the season, earning a spot in the Europa Conference League. Meanwhile, at the bottom of the table, Leicester, Ipswich and Southampton were relegated, making way for Leeds, Burnley and Sunderland.

As the summer progresses, excitement for the new season is mounting, with the summer transfer window now open. Liverpool have been busy bolstering their squad to give Slot the best possible chance of a successful title defence.

They've already secured the services of Jeremie Frimpong, with Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez set to join the Anfield ranks. And it seems these moves could well pay dividends for the Reds.

According to a prediction from BettingLounge.co.uk's supercomputer, Liverpool will win the title for the second year running. This supercomputer uses a probability model, free from human predictions or bias.

The supercomputer has predicted the outcome of each fixture based on a team's current strength (considering factors such as league position and form) and betting market odds. It then simulates the remaining games in a season 10,000 times and constructs an average league table from the 10,000 simulations, to rule out anomalous results.

Slot's side are forecasted to lose just four games and win 24 matches to secure the title. Their closest rivals are expected to be City, who are predicted to finish three points behind the Reds.

Arsenal are anticipated to fall to third, with the supercomputer suggesting they will end up 10 points behind the champions. After missing out on the Champions League last season, Aston Villa are predicted to make a comeback to Europe's top competition by finishing fourth.

Newcastle are tipped to complete the top five as they continue to impress under Eddie Howe. These two teams are set to rise at Chelsea's expense, with the Blues predicted to fall to sixth under Enzo Maresca.

Despite losing manager Thomas Frank, Brentford are not expected to feel his absence, with the Bees predicted to finish seventh. Brighton and FA Cup winners Crystal Palace are expected to occupy the two places just behind the Londoners.

Sky has slashed the price of its Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle ahead of the 2025/26 season, saving members £192 and offering more than 1,400 live matches across the Premier League, EFL and more.

Sky will show at least 215 live Premier League games next season, an increase of up to 100 more.

And Bournemouth are predicted to round off the top half, despite losing key players in this summer's window. With European football to contend with, Nottingham Forest are set to struggle and drop down to 11th in the table.

Fulham are predicted to face a challenging season, finishing 12th, while West Ham, under the guidance of Graham Potter, are expected to see a slight improvement, securing 13th place.

However, Manchester United, managed by Ruben Amorim, may not be as fortunate. After finishing 15th last season, they're projected to win just 12 matches and land in 14th place.

Tottenham, under Frank's leadership, could also have a tough season ahead. The Europa League champions are forecasted to finish in 15th place, just four points clear of the relegation zone.

Everton and Wolves are anticipated to narrowly avoid relegation, with the Midlands team finishing 17th. This spells bad news for the three promoted teams, who are all predicted to face relegation.

Burnley are expected to put up the strongest fight, amassing 40 points, which would have been enough to relegate Tottenham last season, but still falling short. Leeds, in 19th place, will trail six points behind them. Sunderland, at the bottom of the table, are predicted to be left far behind, ending up 19 points from safety.
