A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has seen his value on the transfer market plummet over the last 12 months.
That’s according to **[Diario AS](https://as.com/futbol/deco-blinda-a-araujo-n/)**, who point towards Andreas Christensen as the player in question.
Stopper Christensen, for his part, is fresh off what was an altogether difficult term in Catalunya’s capital in 2024/25.
Owing to a pair of long-term injury problems, the Dane, in fact, took to the pitch in a competitive setting on just six occasions.
The latter weeks of the season saw Christensen play a more notable role, with the former Chelsea man’s solid form despite his lack of match sharpness having proven hugely encouraging from a Barcelona standpoint.
As much has not proven enough to wipe out the damage of almost a full year of unavailability, though.
As per a report from AS, Christensen’s exit would be a welcome one on the part of the Camp Nou brass this summer, amid efforts to raise funds through sales.
The problem for Deco and co, however, is that:
‘The player’s market value has dropped substantially after being practically unused this season.’
