Liverpool are preparing for a major summer shake-up — and two big names are packing their bags. Darwin Nunez and Federico Chiesa are both heading toward the exit door at Anfield, with Napoli set to become their next stop.
Reports from Italy suggest the pair have already said “yes” to a move to Naples. The deal, however, is not fully sealed.
That’s because Liverpool still hopes to include the players in a swap that would bring Napoli striker Victor Osimhen to Merseyside. For now, the Nigerian forward hasn’t given his green light.
The news was revealed by Italian journalist Gerardo Fasano, who told AreaNapoli:
“Chiesa and Nunez have already said yes to Napoli, this is the news I can give you and it refers to the very last hours of the transfer market. What is missing to conclude the deal? Victor Osimhen’s yes has not yet been given.”

Can Liverpool sell both Darwin Nunez and Federico Chiesa?
If this double deal goes through, Napoli boss Antonio Conte could be serving up some serious attacking options next season.
The Serie A club has already made waves by bringing in Man City legend Kevin De Bruyne on a free. Adding Chiesa and Nunez would further boost their push for another title and Champions League run.
As for the players, it’s a fresh start. Nunez scored just five league goals last season, far from what Liverpool fans expected when he arrived.
Chiesa didn’t get much of a chance under new boss Arne Slot, making only six Premier League appearances after joining in early 2024.
Osimhen, meanwhile, is the piece that could complete the puzzle. But until he gives his answer, this swap deal stays in limbo. Thus, the Reds could end up selling both players, but it depends on what the Nigerian decides.
One thing’s certain — the transfer window is far from boring, and this deal might just be the next twist yet.
