Gabriel Agbonlahor has already predicted the result of Man Utd vs Arsenal on the Premier League’s opening day

The Premier League fixture list was released on Wednesday morning, and there are some bumper ties on the horizon.

Indeed, the fixture list is out, and there’s one game that stands out to most fans on the opening weekend of the season.

Arsenal head to Old Trafford to face Manchester United in the first game of the season, and this game could be a banana skin for the Gunners.

Viktor Gyokeres may have a part to play in this game, regardless of which team he signs for, and, as Arsenal know only too well, a trip to Old Trafford is never easy, regardless of United’s recent history.

Speaking on TalkSPORT, Gabriel Agbonlahor has been discussing Arsenal’s start to the season, and he says that he expects the Gunners to draw their opening game of the season against United.

Gabriel Agbonlahor predicts Manchester United vs Arsenal

Agbonlahor shared his verdict on how Arsenal’s opening fixtures will go.

Of course, all eyes are on that opening game against Manchester United, and Agbonlahor expects that game to end all square.

“Arsenal’s first six, Manchester United away first game, I’ve gone for a draw. Leeds away, I’ve gone for a win for Arsenal, Liverpool away loss, Forest at home, win for Arsenal a narrow win. Man City at home, a loss and Newcastle away, I’ve gone for a loss, that’s seven points from a possible 18, that wouldn’t be a great start for them,” Agbonlahor said.

Arsenal’s recent record vs Man United

Agbonlahor reckons Arsenal and United will play out a draw at Old Trafford to kick off next season, and that may not be a bad prediction.

Indeed, United and Arsenal have drawn in each of their last two meetings, with Manchester United winning one of those games on penalties in the FA Cup.

In recent years, Arsenal do have a superior record vs Manchester United, but away at Old Trafford, anything could happen here.

Arsenal wins 5

Draws 2

Man Utd wins 3

Arsenal will fancy their chances of beating United, but, as Agbonlahor says, this is a new season and United will be bang up for this match.

Don’t be surprised if the Gunners drop points early on here.
