Everton are reportedly prioritising a move for Villarreal striker Thierno Barry in the transfer window.
Dr Rajpal Brar, an injury expert, has assessed the 22-year-old’s fitness record in recent seasons ahead of a potential move.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin will be leaving Everton, making it imperative for them to sign a quality first-choice forward.

Barry expected to clear his pre-transfer medical
Barry’s fitness record over the last two seasons is nigh-on perfect, which means he should have any issues clearing his medical, per Dr Brar.

The Toffees will have to pay Villarreal £33million as that is the French striker’s release clause, making this a big-money transfer.

Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Dr Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and a Sports Scientist, said about Barry: “He had no injury issues last season and that’s always a positive for any club looking to sign a player.
“I do not expect there to be any issues with his medical either.
“He was injury free in the 2023/24 season as well and these are things clubs look at before going ahead with deals.
“Barry would need a gradual acclimation period to adapt to the different demands of the new league.”

Everton must quickly look to sign Barry
At 22, Barry’s best years are ahead of him and if he’s still managing to get double digits in league goals and a few assists to his name, he’s certainly capable of making a difference.
Everton desperately need a proven goal scorer who gets better each season and they now need to look no further.
Villarreal are surely aware of the asset they have on their hands and will look to get as much as they possibly can in transfer fees.
This is why the Toffees cannot waste any more time and look to quickly bring the 22-year-old to the club and he’s also been given a clean bill of health by Dr Brar.
The Friedkin Group must shell out the funds as soon as possible to make this deal go ahead.
