Crystal Palace to play Chelsea on the opening weekend as Premier League fixtures are announced

The Premier League fixtures have been revealed as Oliver Glasner is set to enter his second full season in charge of Crystal Palace. The Eagles will be looking to build on the successes of the 2024/25 season in 2025/26 as they won their first ever major trophy and broke their record Premier League points tally.

Potentially playing in the Europa League, subject to the UEFA verdict, means that Oliver Glasner’s side will have at least a guaranteed 49 games next season including the eight league phase games, Community Shield and third round of the FA Cup and EFL Cup.

After last season’s finish in 12th Glasner will be hoping to push on. They open the season playing at 14:00 on the first ‘Super Sunday’ of the season against Chelsea away at Stamford Bridge.

Previously in the 2021/22 season Palace’s opening game was also away at Chelsea in what was Patrick Vieira’s first game in the job where his side fell to a 3-0 defeat.

Crystal Palace will face their rivals Brighton at Selhurst Park on game week 11 on Saturday 8th November 2025.

They will then travel south to the Amex for the reverse fixture on game week 25 on Saturday 7th February 2026.

It will be the second season in which Oliver Glasner will face Fabian Hürzeler in the so called ‘M23 derby’ and in the first season the Eagles completed the league double over the Seagulls. They won 3-1 in December away from home and had a historic victory in April winning 2-1 with just 9 men on the field.

The season will start for Palace a week early as they face Premier League champions Liverpool at Wembley Stadium on the 9thor 10th August in the Community Shield for another chance of a trophy.

Palace will play their first game at Everton’s new ground the Hill Dickinson on Saturday 4th October, and they do not hold a great record away at Everton having only beaten them twice at Goodison Park since the 2013 promotion. (Both in 2014).

For the first time since September 2016 Palace will travel to Sunderland on January 17th with other games away at newly promoted opponents also coming in the winter period in December.

Palace will play Arsenal at Selhurst Park to finish the season on the 24th of May.

The festive fixtures currently see six games scheduled for December with no Premier League game currently scheduled on Boxing Day or New Year’s Day.

The Eagles are due to play Tottenham at home on 27th December and Fulham at home on the 30th.
