Arsenal have reportedly made Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Bynoe-Gittens a priority target for the summer transfer window, as the Gunners step up plans to bolster their attacking options ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
According to a report fromCaught Offside, Arsenal are taking “concrete steps” in their pursuit of the 19-year-old English talent and could move swiftly should the right opportunity present itself. The north London club is said to be exploring alternatives to Gabriel Martinelli on the left flank, in addition to their well-documented search for a new striker.
While forwards such as Benjamin Sesko and Viktor Gyökeres remain on Arsenal’s radar to strengthen the central attacking role, Mikel Arteta is also keen on improving his wide options. Bynoe-Gittens has reportedly emerged as a top target, seen internally as a potentially better fit than other wingers linked with Arsenal, including Nico Williams and Juventus’ Kenan Yildiz.

The Dortmund youngster, who is valued at around €60 million (£51.3 million), has also been heavily pursued by Chelsea. Reports earlier this month claimed the Blues were preparing a third bid after seeing two previous offers rejected by Dortmund. While Chelsea were believed to have paused their pursuit ahead of the Club World Cup, they are expected to reignite interest following the tournament.

Despite claims that Bynoe-Gittens is “literally waiting” for a call from Chelsea, Arsenal could yet hijack the deal, with internal discussions ongoing at the Emirates. While it’s unclear whether the winger would be open to a move to the red side of north London, Arsenal’s growing interest signals a serious intent to rival Chelsea for his signature.

Arsenal’s attacking rebuild comes on the back of an underwhelming campaign for current options Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz, both of whom struggled with consistency and injuries last season. Reinforcements out wide and up front are viewed as essential for a side aiming to challenge Liverpool and Manchester City for the title.
Bynoe-Gittens, who came off the bench in Dortmund’s recent Club World Cup match against Fluminense, remains focused on his current club for now. However, with two of England’s biggest sides vying for his services, his future is expected to be one of the key storylines of the summer window.
