The New York Giants added firepower to their offense this offseason.
That’s great news for wide receiver Malik Nabers, who dominated in his first year in the league despite having one of the worst quarterback situations in the NFL.
Nabers, however, hasn’t been out there for a while now.
He missed spring OTAs and won’t be available for mandatory minicamp as he continues to deal with an injured toe.
Nevertheless, head coach Brian Daboll said there are no concerns about his availability for training camp.
“[Malik is] doing good. … He’s had some issues in the past, in college, with [the injury]. That was the plan that we came up with for him and for our football team,” Daboll said, via Giants Videos.
The Giants fully expect Malik Nabers to be ready to go once training camp comes around

Nabers didn’t miss any games as an NFL rookie because of the injury, and he hasn’t needed surgery, so perhaps he just needs to get rest.
He didn’t get a real chance between his last season in college, the 2024 NFL Draft and his rookie year.
Nabers dominated out of the gate, setting an NFL rookie record with 109 receptions for 1,204 yards and seven touchdowns in 15 games.
He was the lone bright spot for the Giants’ offense last season, even after the team cut ties with quarterback Daniel Jones midway through the campaign.
Now, with Russell Wilson set to take the reins of the offense, Nabers is expected to take things even further in his second year.
The Giants are most likely erring on the side of caution to make sure that the face of the franchise, at least on offense, is safe and sound and ready to roll when it counts.
