Well, that didn't take very long.
From the moment that the Packers announced their decision to move on from Jaire Alexander, Packers fans speculated on where his next stop would be. Alexander almost certainly was going to sign a one-year deal to regain some value ahead of free agency next season, so a one-year deal on a title contender was probably always going to be the move.

On Wednesday, the move happened. Alexander signed a one-year, $6 million deal with the Baltimore Ravens, joining one of the highest-ceiling secondaries in the entire league. The news was reported by basically every single outlet that exists on the internet, but here's Adam Schefter's tweet.

Of all the teams that Alexander could have gone to, the Ravens are up there among the worst. And it has nothing to do with making the Packers pay, or going in-division, or anything like that – it's simply the fact that the Ravens are always up to something. Every move they make is annoyingly shrewd – they're like the Eagles of making smart, under-the-radar free agent signings. People thought Derrick Henry was washed until [gestures at last season]. There's just something about the Ravens' defense in particular that raises player's floors.
So this is all to say that there might be a huge Jaire Alexander season incoming. The Ravens can't outsmart injuries, which is Alexander's one major issue, but if he can stay on the field, he's going to thrive in that defense. Thankfully, that'll be so far away from everything the Packers are doing, no one will even notice. At least, that's what I'm telling myself right now. It's only kinda working.
