The New York Knicks didn’t make the NBA Finals. (My apologies to 3/4 of the Golf Digest staff.) And yet, they had a superb season featuring an Eastern Conference Finals appearance and multiple All-NBA recipients. To celebrate a hell of a run, the team’s engine, Josh Hart, finally got the chance to redeem his wife’s perfect Christmas gift: “a 3-day trip to play St Andrews and Kingsbarn.”
It’s safe to assume that he’d rather be playing in the NBA Finals, but the shooting guard is getting his shots up at the Old Course, which is not bad as backup options go. Because ball is life, Hart found himself making fun of the Brooklyn Nets and their fans all the way from Scotland. He can’t turn the defense off, even in the off-season.
It all started with X user @notoriousbknets making fun of the Knicks, quote tweeting a Hart tweet about his tee shot on the Old Course's iconic 18th hole, saying, “Death, taxes and the Knicks golfing in June! MSG: The World's Emptiest Arena.”
“That’s a good one," Hart fired back. "Now google my record against yall since I became a Knick.”
In case you’re wondering, the Knicks are 9-0 against the Nets over that run. That’ll end any debate dead in its tracks. Also, the record should be 10-0 now after this comeback.
