PHILADELPHIA — Wawa next week will host its Hoagie Day as it kicks off the Welcome America celebration.

The Hoagie Day events begin at 5 a.m. June 26 at the National Constitution Center.

More than 150 Wawa workers will be building 25,000 turkey Shorti hoagies from 5 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The first 10,000 hoagies will be donated to Philabundance, Police Athletic League and Veterans Multi-Service Center.

Afterward, the hoagies will be distributed to the public at noon on Arch Street, between Fifth and Sixth streets.

This year, Wawa workers will be celebrated as Hoagie Day MVPs – Most Valuable Preparers – with recognition by Philadelphia Eagles Legend Brandon Graham, followed by a check presentation from Wawa to the Eagles Autism Foundation for sensory-friendly programs.

The National Constitution Center is located at 525 Arch St. in Philadelphia
