After falling to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX, both Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are ready to run it back with the Kansas City Chiefs, still eyeing their fourth ring.
Mahomes and Kelce have been one of the most dominant duos in the NFL since 2018, the year Mahomes took over as the starting quarterback. They have led Kansas City to an AFC Championship appearance in every season, winning five of them.
To continue offseason workouts, Mahomes and Kelce were both in Kansas City for the Chiefs' mandatory minicamp from June 17-19. For the first practice session, the team invited two Make-A-Wish kids, Diego and Jacob, to attend practice and meet the players.
And Mahomes and Kelce were very much involved, gifting the kids memorabilia and taking photos.
Kansas City announced the news on Wednesday.
"Made some days yesterday ❤️," the Chiefs wrote on Instagram (IG). "With the help of Make-A-Wish, Diego, who has congenital heart disease, and Jacob, who is battling cystic fibrosis, came out to practice and created memories that will last a lifetime."
NFL fans appreciated the heartwarming gestures from Mahomes, Kelce and the Chiefs, leaving their thoughts on social media.
"Get well Diego. Thanks to the Chiefs for making dreams come true for these kids and families," one fan said.
"Pure class…way to go Chiefs," added another.
"This is awesome! #chiefskingdom," wrote a third.
"Bravo to the Chiefs!! ð" replied a fourth on IG.
This is what it’s all about !❤️ð," commented a fifth on IG.
"Very sweet," added a sixth on IG.

This is not the first time the Chiefs have shown love to their community. Over the weekend, they invited Turbo, who has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, to spend a day touring Kansas City's facilities before visiting a practice.
Mahomes and Kelce will kick off their ninth season together on Friday, Sept 5, facing the Los Angeles Chargers in Brazil.
