Leeds United seem to be expecting multiple departures later this month. The club actively started looking to sell some first team players early in the summer window.
Illan Meslier is still looking for a new club, with Leeds keen to sell him this summer. Max Wober also revealed that the club had instructed him to find a move this summer. Leeds also told the trio of Sam Greenwood, Darko Gyabi and Joe Gelhardt to find new clubs this summer. Birmingham City have shown interest in Gelhardt recently.

This includes Junior Firpo, who is yet to sign a new deal at the club. The 28-year old held talks with Leeds, who offered him a new deal some time last month. Multiple reports indicate that Firpo is off to Spain to sign a deal with Real Betis.
That coupled with the fact that Sam Byram is yet to sign a new deal, leaves the club thin in the fullback department. Football Insider have reported that Leeds could look to Aston Villa’s Alex Moreno this summer. Talks have taken place over Moreno, who currently has one year left on his contract.
Alex Crook reported earlier this month that £5million would be enough to seal a deal for the left back. Multiple clubs in Spain are also keen on a move for the 32-year old. Villa also have PSR issues and would gladly move the Spaniard off their books this summer.
Moreno could replace Junior Firpo
Moreno has been used similarly to Firpo during his time at Villa. Unai Emery is a coach who prefers his fullbacks to overlap and create. The Spaniard has a great cross on him and is a threat from wide areas. If Leeds are able to pull off this deal, he could be a cut-price replacement for Firpo in Daniel Farke’s system. His Premier League experience would also be a huge plus this summer.
