America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders Season 2 Skipped The Biggest Behind The…

America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders season 2 dipped into some of the drama happening around the organization and within the team, but it didn't fully touch on the biggest drama to happen within DCC. Throughout America's Sweethearts season 2, viewers had the opportunity to get to know more of the long-time Dallas Cowboys Cheerleading squad, as well as a handful of new rookies to the team. With so many personalities, there's bound to be drama between the ladies cheering on the DCC, but the show doesn't often offer the spotlight to inter-team drama. Instead, America's Sweethearts focuses on bigger stories.

Regardless of whether there's interest in the minutiae of team drama, there was a major story that America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders season 2 chose to leave out of the spotlight. While the show made it clear that there was drama with Chandi Dayle, who was revealed to have dealt with a stalker prior to her relationship on the series and then went through a tough split, it didn't delve into what that meant for the rest of the team. Chandi's drama bled into other parts of the team, creating issues for others as it took hold over the DCC.

Chandi's Relationship Was In The Spotlight Early On

She Shared How She Met Her Current Boyfriend

Although Chandi was a part of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders prior to her time on the squad this season, her sixth season with the team marked her first with a leadership role. After former DCC Kelcey Wetterberg's retirement, Chandi was a quick pick to take on the role of first leader for Coach Kelli Finglass. Chandi's life had changed a lot during her time with the DCC, and her long-term boyfriend seemed supportive of her dreams with the team. While Chandi opened up about their relationship, her partner seemed hesitant about being on camera even though he'd agreed to it.

At some point during the season, the pair broke up and Chandi's mental health continued to decline. While Chandi didn't have any obligation to report her breakup or share it with America's Sweethearts producers, it was shocking to hear that her relationship had come to an end. Further, it was surprising to learn that prior to her current relationship, Chandi had been stalked by an ex, which she's shared since was also an instance of domestic violence. Chandi's personal drama bled into her professional life, but it was just the beginning of the issues she'd face in her final season.

During the DCC trip to the Bahamas documented within America's Sweethearts season 2, Chandi found someone she wanted to get to know better on a night out and chose to bring him up to the hotel room she was sharing with Reece Weaver. While it seemed innocent enough, Chandi's decision derailed the course of her season and set up a difficult road for another DCC teammate. When it was revealed that Chandi had brought someone up to the room, she had to step back from the squad, as she broke a rule that encroached on the safety of another DCC.

America's Sweethearts Glossed Over KayDianna's Potential Bullying

She Was Investigated By The Organization

When Chandi took her step back, KayDianna MacKenzie stepped in to take her place as first leader. While KayDianna knew what her responsibilities were, it quickly became clear she wasn't happy to be taking them on, at least not after she started to feel unappreciated for her efforts. KayDianna talked about the Chandi situation on a livestream, and though she says her comments were meant to be casual, they held some weight with DCC fans. When her comments were reported to higher ups, KayDianna was put under investigation for potentially bullying Chandi and smearing the organization as a whole.

While KayDianna clearly didn't believe she'd done anything wrong, the accusations against her sent her into a spiral that caused her to wind up leaving the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders behind. Though KayDianna was only in her fourth year, she chose to walk away and has been sharing more about her time with the organization since. The drama between the cheerleaders may have been interesting, but the way the organization handled KayDianna's decision to speak on her own social media platform is an even bigger drama. America's Sweethearts didn't delve deep enough into the drama between KayDianna, Chandi, and the organization.
