As the NBA enters the offseason, one player has taken over the headlines and that player is Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant.
Phoenix is expected to move on from Durant this offseason after they failed to make the playoffs for the first time since the 2019-20 season as they look to rebuild their roster around Devin Booker.
With Durant likely on the move, many teams have been linked to the future Hall of Famer though three teams have emerged above the rest.
Those teams are the San Antonio Spurs, Miami Heat and Houston Rockets, all of which have been named as Durant’s preferred landing according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.
While these three teams have been named his preferred trade destinations, the Minnesota Timberwolves have also been linked to Durant despite there being a report that he has no interest in going to Minnesota.
Despite Durant not wanting to end up with the Timberwolves, it has been reported that they have been the most aggressive team in trade talks thus far and a major report came out on Wednesday regarding a key player Phoenix wants in a potential trade.

According to Forbes’ Evan Sidery, the Suns covet Rob Dillingham in a potential Durant trade package.
Sidery also mentioned that a potential package that Minnesota could put together would also likely include Rudy Gobert and Donte DiVincenzo.
For Dillingham, there is no doubt that Phoenix covets him a potential deal, especially with their lack of a point guard.
Dillingham was the eighth overall pick in the 2024 draft and he put together a solid rookie season despite not seeing a ton of playing time.

That would change in Phoenix as the 20-year-old would likely become the team’s new starting point guard next to Booker in the backcourt and he would also provide the Suns with another young player to build around.
While Dillingham would be a great addition for the Suns, Durant has made it clear that he does not want to be traded to Minnesota and it will be interesting to see if Phoenix takes his stance into consideration.
