Ethan Nwaneri played 63 minutes as England U21s concluded their group stage campaign at the European Championship with a 2-1 defeat to Germany.
Despite the defeat England are through to the quarter-finals, where they will face Spain on Saturday.
Nwaneri was deployed on the right wing and had some encouraging moments in the first half which included creating a couple of chances and having a shot saved himself.
However, the 18-year-old faded a little and was then replaced in the second half.
