The Phoenix Suns enter the NBA offseason with one major decision to make and it is centered around Kevin Durant.
Phoenix is expected to move on from Durant this offseason after they failed to make the playoffs after finishing 11th in the Western Conference standings with an abysmal 36-46 record.
It is clear that the Suns are set to rebuild their roster around Devin Booker and now everyone has their eyes on where Durant will land this summer.
According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Durant’s preferred landing spots are the San Antonio Spurs, Miami Heat and Houston Rockets.
While these three teams have emerged as the frontrunner to acquire Durant this offseason, there are many other teams who have been linked to the future Hall of Famer, including the Minnesota Timberwolves.
It was reported earlier in the week that Durant has no interest in being traded to the Timberwolves and that he already shut down a potential three-team trade that involved the Brooklyn Nets.
ESPN’s Brian Windhorst added to these reports on Wednesday as he reported that Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards is not trying to recruit Durant to Minnesota.
Of course, there has been a ton of speculation about a potential pairing of Durant and Edwards in Minnesota after they played together on Team USA last summer in the Paris Olympics and the Timberwolves were also a team that inquired about Durant at the trade deadline.
Despite this, Durant clearly has his mind made up that he does not want to land in Minnesota and Edwards is not trying to recruit the future Hall of Famer after those reports.

While that may be the case, it has been reported that the Timberwolves have been the most aggressive team in trade offers for Durant thus far, which could see the Suns end up trading him to Minnesota despite his stance on the situation.
