George Kittle confirms Brock Purdy's 1st big purchase indeed wasn't a bass boat

In his first press conference following what's now the biggest contract ever dished out in San Francisco 49ers history, quarterback Brock Purdy told reporters his first big purchase was going to be a bass fishing boat.

Provided his wife was on board, of course.

Well, it turns out the now-$265 million signal-caller might not have followed his initial desires.

At least according to recent comments from his favorite teammate (and soon-to-be neighbor), tight end George Kittle.

Kittle, who has been making the media rounds as of late in the wake of Niners minicamp, has been asked about his quarterback a lot in the wake of both players' extensions, including comments about how Purdy now has to "pay" for the upcoming Halloween party.

When appearing on Pardon My Take recently, though, the People's Tight End revealed Purdy's first big purchase probably wasn't a boat, rather something much bigger.

"He did purchase a house in Nashville, Tennessee," Kittle said of his quarterback. "He will be kind of a neighbor to me at some point. That will be pretty fun, because I'll have a quarterback that can throw to me all the time, that's actually on my team. So, I'm excited about that."

Kittle, who lives in Nashville during the offseason, invited numerous players to his compound when San Francisco played the Tennessee Titans at Nissan Stadium last preseason, and Purdy was among those who worked out at the tight end's facility.

Now, according to Kittle, he and Purdy will be neighbors.

We don't know exactly how close the two teammates will be, although one might guess Kittle probably winds up knocking on his quarterback's door at regular intervals and at all hours. That's just the kind of person Kittle is.

Whether or not Purdy and his wife welcomes that is anyone's guess, but at least the newly rich family knows someone in the neighborhood already.
