RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko is open to joining a “special club” this summer, but his camp insists he will not attempt to force a move, amid growing interest from Arsenal.
The Gunners are actively searching for a new striker to spearhead Mikel Arteta’s attack next season and have identified the 22-year-old Slovenia international alongside Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyökeres as their top targets.
Reports in Portugal suggest Arsenal have already had a €60 million offer, plus €10 million in add-ons, rejected for Gyökeres. While talks have been held regarding Sesko, no official bid has been submitted. Leipzig are understood to value the forward between €80 million and €100 million.

The situation surrounding the two strikers presents a contrast in tone. Gyökeres is reportedly pushing hard to leave Sporting, with tensions between player and club escalating in recent days. By contrast, Sesko’s camp has taken a measured approach, emphasising respect for Leipzig and a willingness to move only under the right conditions.

Speaking toGIVEMESPORT, Sesko’s agent Elvis Basanovic strongly denied claims that he is pressuring the Bundesliga club to lower their asking price.
“This is far from the truth! We respect RB Leipzig and I am 100% convinced they will also respect our decision for the next step when we decide to take it,” Basanovic said.

“Even if there may be or will be a strong desire of the player to move to a certain club, we will never force or blackmail RB Leipzig.
“The way you exit a club shows your values, values you carry into the next one.”
Basanovic emphasised that only a “special club” with the right project and manager would be enough to convince Sesko to move.
“His numbers at this age compared to other strikers with great careers confirm his quality. He will leave RB Leipzig only when we identify a special club, with a special project and a special coach,” he added.
“It could happen next week, or next year, or even in three years.”
