Bucs Young Receiving Corps Ranked Among Best in NFL

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have had one of the best wide receiver duos in the NFL for the past several seasons with Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, but now they've got more depth.

In a recent article by PFF's Trevor Sikkema, he ranks every NFL team's receiving corps going into the 2025 season. At No. 2 on his list, he has the Bucs, who look a bit different than they did last season.

"It was a coin flip between the Buccaneers and the Eagles for the top spot... The Buccaneers win the depth battle, though, as Emeka Egbuka, Jalen McMillan and Rachaad White make for the deepest receiving corps in the NFL," Sikkema wrote. "Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Bucky Irving were all top-15 players in PFF receiving grade among qualifiers at their positions in 2024."

Evans and Godwin are both getting older, so the team went into the 2025 NFL Draft and took two wide receivers to give the group an injection of youth. Emeka Egbuka and Tez Johnson will both make an impact in their rookie season.

As for Evans, he was able to keep his streak of 1,000-yard seasons going despite missing three games with an injury. Jalen McMillan will look to make a jump in his second season, and Godwin will be hoping he can bounce back from his ankle injury.

All of these players should combine to give Tampa Bay one of the scariest wide receiver rooms in the NFL, and they will be looking to help the team make the playoffs for the sixth straight season.
