America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders season 2 saw plenty of rookie cheerleaders come into the mix, but from the large group of veterans, there were five who chose to hang up their uniforms by the end of the season. While being a part of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders is an honor, there are a lot of performers who don't wind up making the cut. For those who do, it can be both rewarding and grueling at the same time, which can make sticking around or eventually leaving the team heartbreaking. After some years, DCC can get tough on the body.
While there's no hard and fast rule about how long someone can continue to be a DCC after each tryout, most only find themselves in the position of being a part of the team for about five years. After half a decade, the body tends to get worn down from the difficulty of the practice and dance moves, though some wind up staying on longer and figuring out how to work through any issues they may have. Most DCC's leave of their own volition or because they're ready for a fresh start, but some leave because of controversy or drama.
Chandi Dayle
Six Year DCC
As one of the longest members of DCC, Chandi Dayle's sixth year on the team was featured on America's Sweethearts season 2. Chandi had long been one of the most talented, natural dancers in the mix, but her need for approval was sometimes tough on coach Kelli Finglass and Choreographer Judy Trammell. Chandi became first leader during the 2024 season, but the title was taken from her when she had some difficult drama during the DCC trip to the Bahamas. After allowing someone into her shared room, Chandi violated DCC rules about security, and things got tough.

Chandi's final year with DCC wasn't the easiest, but she did make it through to the end of the season. After the season's end, Chandi showed up to her uniform return timeslot on crutches, sharing with Kelli and Judy that she had a hip injury. While she was tearful, she knew it was the right thing to choose to retire from the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and start fresh after an incredibly tough season.
Armani Latimer
Five Year DCC
As a five year veteran on the team, Armani Latimer had been through a lot with the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders when she chose to hang up her boots. While Armani, a wonderful dancer and even better person, was happy to be part of the team, she was even happier to be bringing awareness to a personal cause. Armani's own alopecia diagnosis was a difficult thing for her to make peace with, and showing her support for the disease on the field with her teammates was incredibly special. Armani chose to retire at the end of the season, tearful and grateful.

Jada Mclean, who was another five year veteran of the team, spent the majority of America's Sweethearts season 2 fighting for better pay for herself and her teammates. An incredible performer, Jada let viewers into her world in a way that most other cheerleaders didn't. Sharing her honest, raw thoughts about the organization, Jada made it clear she wanted to see change before she hung up her boots. While she didn't get the pay increase she wanted in time for her own last season, she pushed hard enough that the increase came into effect for the 2025 DCC team.

A four year veteran, KayDianna MacKenzie spent her final season with DCC as a group leader and performed well, but things got tough when Chandi's drama came to the surface. When KayDianna had to step in to take over for Chandi, she didn't feel she got the appreciation she was looking for, nor did she feel satisfied with the way she was treated overall. After a controversial livestream where she spoke up about Chandi's behavior indirectly, KayDianna was put under investigation by the DCC management. She ultimately chose to walk away from the team before the season's end.
Amanda Howard
Three Year DCC
Although Amanda wasn't as heavily featured throughout America's Sweethearts season 2, she did have some incredible performances on the field and some memorable moments off of it. As one of the cheerleaders who came forward about not feeling like she was getting booked for the performances outside of game days that she deserved, Amanda felt comfortable letting her voice be heard by the DCC team leadership. When she didn't get the responses she hoped for, Amanda chose to leave DCC. America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleadersseason 2 lost a lot of genuine talent.
