Authorities say they responded to a report around 2:30 AM on Wednesday of a domestic dispute that occurred on a Los Angeles-area freeway. The investigation led officers to a nearby gas station where they discovered Bledsoe and a woman with visible injuries, including swelling and bruising on her face. The woman alleged that Bledsoe struck her, and after Bledsoe declined to give a statement to authorities, he was taken into custody.
The 35-year-old was booked on a felony domestic violence charge and held on $50,000 bail. This marks Bledsoe’s second arrest for a similar incident, though a 2022 case was later dismissed due to inconsistent statements from the alleged victim.
Bledsoe, a 2010 NBA first-round pick, played a 12-year career in the league, playing for teams like the Clippers, Suns, Bucks, and Pelicans. He averaged 13.7 points and 4.7 assists per game over his career.
Most recently, Bledsoe appeared with La Familia, the Kentucky alumni team, in The Basketball Tournament (TBT) last summer, helping the squad reach the Final Four in its first appearance.
