Man City have actually offered 'world-class' player to Champions League club, move is not…

Manchester City have garnered a reputation of being experts at offloading players but so far this summer, they are yet to sell a single player.

Kevin De Bruyne signed for Napoli but his move to Italy occurred after the midfield maestro became a free agent at the end of his contract at the Etihad Stadium.

Bernardo Silva confirmed he will stay at Manchester City despite being linked with a potential exit and looks set to captain the Sky Blues next season.

Pep Guardiola revealed Ederson Moraes will stay at the club as well, who is another player who looked destined to bid farewell to City this summer.

Man City star Jack Grealish was offered to Napoli

As for Jack Grealish, only the Englishman knows where his future lies ahead of the 2025/2026 campaign.

Manchester City are prepared to sell Grealish but unless a suitable offer arrives, they will have to keep hold of the 29-year-old.

Fabrizio Romano reported on his YouTube channel that despite Napoli’s links to Grealish, a move is not on the cards and he was simply offered to them: “What I can tell is you is between Napoli and Jack Grealish, despite the English rumours in the recent days, there is nothing concrete, nothing serious.”

“Napoli are focused on different targets and so [Jadon] Sancho is a possibility but for Napoli, only on loan with United covering part of his salary.”

“Or permanent transfer but with the player reducing his salary and that’s not going to be easy.”

“Jack Grealish is not a target at the moment for Napoli, he’s been offered to Napoli but it’s not a concrete discussion or negotiation.”

Why clubs are not signing Jack Grealish

Jermaine Jenas called Grealish “world-class” and despite his struggles at City, there is no doubts that he is a quality player.

Considering Pep Guardiola hinted Grealish could leave, fans and pundits alike must be wondering why clubs are not queuing up at the chance to secure his services.

The reason is that the England international’s wages have made him unaffordable for several sides.

Napoli are unwilling to pay Grealish’s wages as he currently banks a whopping £300,000-a-week at Manchester City.

The same is the case with Tottenham, who refuse to finance Grealish’s wages and until he takes a pay cut, the most likely solution is that City pay a part of his salary as a part of a loan deal.
