Newcastle United will be among the clubs to benefit from the Premier League's new television deal with beIN SPORTS.
The new three-year agreement for live broadcast rights in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) is worth £550m, which represents a 10% increase on the previous cycle.
Such deals help explain why the top-flight's overall revenue is set to rise at a time when a number of other major European leagues are seeing broadcast income plateau.
Premier League clubs were informed that total broadcast and commercial revenue will increase from £10.5bn in the current three-year cycle to £12.25bn between 2025 and 2028 during a shareholders' meeting back in February.
However, Deloitte have since warned that growth will remain 'relatively limited unless bold and innovative changes are considered and then pursued' by the Premier League and member clubs.
Chelsea chairman Todd Boehly previously suggested selling rights to a global platform like Netflix is 'where we are heading' and Amanda Staveley has predicted that the landscape will 'change dramatically' in the coming years.
"I think we have to see a much more robust direct-to-consumer model built over the next five to six years," the former Newcastle owner said last month.
"The Premier League, which I love and know very well, has been supported by some very solid media rights deals but those will eventually start to move away in the next four years.
"We have to be able to understand how we grab young people's attention and monetise our assets."
UEFA have noted how the primary source of new revenues has changed from TV (2009-2019) to commercial and match day (2019-24) as clubs diversify their income streams.
Although aggregate broadcast revenue contributed €9.4bn to clubs in the 'big five' European leagues in 2023-24 - representing almost half of their income - this worked out as just a 1% increase year-on-year.
