Wolves fans have watched several players depart Molineux this summer – and last night Pablo Sarabia was officially unveiled by a new club.
There has been an exodus at Wolves so far, with Matheus Cunha, Rayan Ait-Nouri, Craig Dawson and Carlos Forbs all moving on, and Matt Hobbs also leaving his sporting director post.
Nelson Semedo could also soon leave, as could the likes of Sam Johnstone, Tommy Doyle and Goncalo Guedes.
Earlier this month, Wolves also confirmed that Pablo Sarabia would be leaving the club this summer, with his contract expiring.
Sarabia joined Wolves in January 2023 on the watch of Julen Lopetegui, and made 77 appearances for the club.
It was thought that Sarabia would return to Spain and join Sevilla.
But the 33-year-old has not gone back to his homeland, and instead joined Qatari side Al-Arabi – and some Wolves players have been reacting to the news.

Sarabia has signed a two-year deal with Al-Arabi.
It is a coup for the Doha-based club, who finished down in ninth place in the Qatar Stars League in 2024/25, with only 12 teams in the league.
MORE WOLVES STORIES
The acquisition of Sarabia should help them to improve in 2025/26, as the Spaniard was still showing he was Premier League-standard towards the end of his time at Molineux.
Sarabia got a great reception from Wolves fans online when his exit was confirmed.
Sarabia was a popular figure and an exemplary professional behind the scenes, and he will be missed.
Yesterday, he and Al-Arabi posted about his move on Instagram – leading to a number of responses from Wolves players.
Jorgen Strand Larsen – ‘❤️’
Santiago Bueno – ‘👏🏼❤️’
Nelson Semedo – ‘Congratulations crack I’ll miss you by my side ❤️ ❤️ ❤️’
Jean-Ricner Bellegarde – ‘Habibi congratulations bro ❤️’
There was also a response from former Wolves captain Mario Lemina, who wrote: “Pabloooooo all the best my broooother 😍 love you @pablosarabia92.”
Why Sarabia did not sign for Sevilla after leaving Wolves
So Sarabia will now embark on a new chapter over in Qatar, and most fans will not begrudge him that move.
Undoubtedly, Sarabia will be earning a fortune there, especially as Al-Arabi saved on a transfer fee.
It is interesting that he chose to go there over returning to Sevilla though, as a move to his former club had been mooted for months.
El Sevillista reports though that Sarabia grew tired of waiting for his former club, despite dreaming of returning for months.
Vamos Mi Sevilla FC add that they had been ‘assured’ that Sarabia was going to move to Sevilla. But they can only ‘assume’ that ‘everything has been blocked with the change in the sporting management’.
Sevilla recently replaced Vitor Orta with Antonio Cordón as the sporting director.
