Jaros Joins Ajax on Loan

Liverpool FC have officially confirmed that 23-year-old goalkeeper Vitezslav Jaros has joined Ajax on loan for the 2025-26 season.

The Czechia international also signed a brand new contract, extending an association with the Reds that began when he arrived at the Academy from Slavia Prague in 2017.

Jaros will have a familiar face in John Heitinga, who recently left his assistant manager post at Liverpool to take charge of the Eredivisie giants. He will have the chance to play Champions League football, with Ajax qualified for the league phase.

Jaros served as the third-choice goalkeeper for last season, and made his senior debut with Liverpool when he replaced Alisson Becker in the second half of a 1-0 win at Crystal Palace last October. Then, he started the Carabao Cup fourth-round success away at Brighton & Hove Albion later that month, and was a part of Arne Slot’s matchday squad on 28 occasions overall in 2024-25.

Recent new signing Armin Pecsi should step into the role of third-choice keeper. All the best for the upcoming season in Amsterdam, Jaros!
