New Chelsea striker Liam Delap has been shortlisted for the PFA Young Player of the Year award.
Delap has been recognised by his fellow professionals for his performances for Ipswich Town over the course of the 2024/25 campaign. He netted 12 goals and registered two assists in his first full season in the Premier League.
Delap is one of six nominees for the award, alongside Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly of Arsenal, Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers, and Bournemouth defenders Milos Kerkez and Dean Huijsen.
Cole Palmer won the award last year, with Eden Hazard (2013/14) and Scott Parker (2003/04) the other Blues to have picked it up.
The PFA awards ceremony takes place on Tuesday 19 August at the Manchester Opera House, when the PFA Players’ Player of the Year and the 2024/25 Team of the Year will also be announced.
