Manchester United's shopping list is extensive, but the pressing need to offload surplus players tops the agenda if Ruben Amorim is to secure his desired signings.
The Red Devils have already dipped their toes into the transfer market, but are still to offload some of their wantaway stars, as they look to raise a transfer war chest. While rumours about Bryan Mbeumo's potential move from Brentford persist, Jadon Sancho's possible departure from Old Trafford - following Chelsea's £5m decision not to make his stay permanent - remains an issue.
Napoli are showing interest but facing financial obstacles of their own. Meanwhile, Nick Cox, the head of United's academy, is also set to jump ship for Everton in the coming months, once a successor is found, after nurturing numerous recognisable talents over recent years.
Here Daily Star Sport looks at the latest transfer tales from the world of Old Trafford over the past 24 hours.

Mbeumo opened up about the transfer buzz around him to L'Equipe, saying: "I have spent five years at Brentford, at a club that has allowed me to grow and pass a milestone.
"But yes, I would like to play in the biggest competitions, at the best clubs. It is tantalising to see some big clubs interested in me."

United are bracing themselves for the loss of academy boss Nick Cox to Everton, dealing another blow to the club. The Toffees are deep into negotiations to bring Cox onboard as their new technical director.
Since taking the reins of United's academy in 2019, Cox has overseen the promotion of over two dozen players including Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo to the first team, while many young talents nurtured under his guidance have been sold on, racking up an estimated £100m in profit.
Cox joined United in 2016 after stints at Watford and Sheffield United's academies. He's now poised to step up to first-team football and will be at the helm of recruitment during an exciting phase at Everton.

Despite Chelsea splashing out £5m to avoid signing him, Dortmund have now declined the opportunity to bring Sancho onboard for a third time, while Napoli are reportedly in the running.
Sky Sports Italy hints that Sancho has verbally committed to joining the Serie A champs, but there's still some legwork needed to seal the deal.

It's rumoured that the Italian heavyweights are finding it tough to stump up the €25m (£21.3m) price tag United have slapped on Sancho, and his hefty £300k-a-week salary could also prove a stumbling block.
