Pitcam highlights: City 2-0 Wydad AC

Watch our FIFA Club World Cup win over Wydad AC from a unique angle with a CITY+ subscription.

The Blues began life in Group G with a deserved 2-0 win over our Moroccan opponents thanks to goals from Phil Foden and Jeremy Doku.

City took the lead inside two minutes when Foden pounced on a loose ball in the area and fired home.

Pep Guardiola’s men then doubled the advantage before the break when Jeremy Doku met a Foden corner to tap home at the far post as the Blues looked to turn the screw in the Philadelphia heat.

Doku went close again after the break, as did substitute Erling Haaland when sent through late on, but City had to settle for a two-goal win at Lincoln Financial Field.

Further drama would follow when Rico Lewis was sent off as stoppage time approached, but the Blues held on for the three points.
