The building blocks are being put in place for Wolves to have a successful transfer window.
Domenico Teti is the new technical director at Wolves after previously working under Vitor Pereira at Al Shabab.
Teti will have a key responsibility in assisting Pereira with the targets he wants to bring to Molineux, such as Fer Lopez, who completed his medical on Wednesday ahead of a £19.5 million switch from Celta Vigo.
Lopez is set to become Wolves’ first signing of the summer following the big-money sales of Matheus Cunha and Rayan Ait-Nouri.
The 21-year-old is a classy operator in the final third and someone they hope can follow in Cunha’s footsteps in Wolverhampton. Unfortunately, while the young Spaniard is on the verge of joining, another attacking target could be playing his football elsewhere.

On Wednesday, it was revealed that Real Valladolid winger Raul Moro is of interest to Wolves after his stunning performances for Spain’s under-21s at the European Championships.
But despite showing admiration for the fleet-footed winger, it’s Ajax who are in the driving seat to sign Moro, who recorded nine goal involvements in 33 La Liga appearances last term.
It’s been reported that the Dutch giants have reached a ‘personal agreement’ with the winger after failing to capture him in the January transfer window.
MORE WOLVES STORIES
Sadly for Wolves, even the player himself has acknowledged their pursuit, stating that Ajax are a club that he’s ‘attracted’ by due to the lure of Champions League football.
Speaking to AS after assisting in a 1-1 draw against Italy, Moro said: “It was a decision of Valladolid. They didn’t want to accept the offer. The club decides, and I have to respect that. We weren’t going to fight either.
“The offer attracted me because it is a team that fights for titles in its country and plays Champions League. Who doesn’t want to play the Champions League? The Eredivisie is also very attractive to young people.”
Reports indicate Moro is available for around £8.5 million, and that looks like a bargain for someone whose style of play has been likened to Lionel Messi.
Vitor Pereira has other targets up his sleeve
Fortunately, Wolves are no longer a club that put all their eggs in one basket and instead draw up a shortlist of targets.
Wolves have been linked with Harvey Elliott, who is also competing at the Euro under-21 tournament with England.
Meanwhile, the Old Gold have eyed Bilal El Khannouss for one of those number 10 positions, but face strong competition from Arsenal.
So, with the possibility of also signing Evann Guessand, Wolves aren’t short of options in the market to play in one of the attacking midfield roles. However, there is a stumbling block with each of those targets.
