Thomas Frank will speak to his staff before making a decision about Manor Solomon’s future at Tottenham, according to their former scout.

Mick Brown, who also worked as the chief scout at Man United and Blackburn and remains very well-connected at his former clubs, exclusively told Football Insider that the 25-year-old will be given the chance to impress his new boss in pre-season.

Frank will assess the Israel international’s ability and where he fits in his plans before deciding whether to accept offers amid growing interest.

Brown told Football Insider on 17 June that Burnley and Leeds want to sign Solomon after Scott Parker’s side joined the ongoing race for his signature.

The winger spent last season on loan at Elland Road, sparking interest in a permanent move, but his future remains up in the air as things stand.

Football Insider revealed in May that Solomon’s future at Tottenham is an open race as Leeds will compete with the likes of Marseille for his signature.

Tottenham to make Manor Solomon decision amid Leeds interest

Brown told Football Insider in March that Leeds are “desperate” to keep Solomon as Daniel Farke continues his preparations for the step up to Premier League football.

The former scout, who has a wealth of experience in top-level player recruitment after over a decade at Man United during their most successful period, insisted that the Spurs manager will make the final decision about his future.

“The manager will make the final decision about his future,” he told Football Insider.

“He’ll have a look at him in pre-season, see what he can do and where he fits in his plans.

“He’ll speak to his staff and the ones who have been there and seen what he can do before because they’ll know what he can and can’t do.

“But the decision has to be made about whether he will be a regular in the side.

“There will be pros and cons, and then he’ll weigh up whether it’s worth keeping him.

“It might depend what sort of offers come in for him, because the club might see it as a good opportunity to raise some funds from the sale.

“That way, they could go out and get somebody who is maybe more suited to what Frank wants to do.”

Yoane Wissa update emerges after Thomas Frank green light

With decisions still to be made about a number of players’ futures at Spurs, they are also aiming to bolster their squad during the summer transfer window.

Brown told Football Insider on 16 June that Tottenham are eyeing Brentford star Yoane Wissa, who is a key target for Frank after their work at the Gtech Community Stadium.

Following the former Brentford boss’ appointment, he has now set his sights on a reunion with his former player with whom he enjoyed a close relationship.

This comes after Football Insider revealed in March that Brentford are bracing to receive offers for Wissa in the summer transfer window.
