Arsenal are heading into what could be the most decisive transfer window of the Mikel Arteta era.
Indeed, after three years of finishing second in the Premier League, the Gunners need to add more quality to the squad.
Arsenal will sign a new striker this summer, but, as of yet, they haven’t agreed a deal for any centre-forward.
Andrea Berta has assessed a number of striker options. Benjamin Sesko is a top Arsenal target, while Viktor Gyokeres is also on Arsenal’s radar.
Writing on the Ranks FC Ultras Patreon Page, Dean Jones has now shared an update on the Gunners’ search for a striker and he’s shared an interesting insight on Benjamin Sesko.

Arsenal need to negotiate Benjamin Sesko fee
Jones shared what he knows about Arsenal’s transfer situation.
According to the journalist, Arsenal don’t even know which striker they’re going to sign this summer.
Jones says that Arsenal would go for Benjamin Sesko if they had the choice, but the key factor here is negotiating a fee that suits all parties.
“I’ve checked in on the Arsenal situation regarding which striker they’re leaning toward, and it’s genuinely difficult to get a clear answer. Right now, it seems they don’t even know themselves how this will end up,” Jones wrote.
“What I do know is that, if it came down to a choice, Arsenal would go for Sesko. The key factor will be negotiating a fee that suits them – and at the moment, that agreement is not in place.”
Benjamin Sesko’s release clause analysed
Arsenal want to negotiate the right deal for Sesko, which is well within their rights.
However, the Gunners can’t afford to be slow out of the blocks here.
The reality is that Sesko has a release clause worth around £66m, via Sky Sports, and if Arsenal don’t stump up the cash, another team could quickly swoop.
£66m for a striker who has been scoring plenty of goals at the top level at the age of 22 isn’t a bad deal.

Games 33
Goals 13
Assists 5
Chelsea have been linked to Sesko, while Liverpool have looked at Sesko in the past too.
Arsenal have had deals hijacked at the last minute in the past – just look at Mykhaylo Mudryk, and they can’t run the same sort of risk here, especially in a position that is so important this summer.
Arsenal need to be decisive and get a deal done here, even if they have to pay slightly over the odds.
