Wolverhampton Wanderers kick-off 2025/26 season at home to Manchester City

It is only the second time in the last eight season where Wolves have been treated to a home game in their first fixture.

**Vitor Pereira**’s side will take on Manchester City in their opening fixture on the 16th on August, which will see Rayan Aït-Nouri make an immediate return to The Molineux after he joined Man City earlier this month.

The 2024/25 campaign saw Wolves define the odds when Vitor Pereira joined Wolves and turned the ship around.

Wolves will end their season with a trip to Turf Moor to face Burnley.

Notable fixtures

Both the games against Nottingham Forest are currently scheduled to be midweek games with the first meeting being at The Molineux on December 3rd.

After hosting Forest, December seems to be a tricky month for Wolves where they host Manchester United at home and then only 22 days later to play United again at Old Trafford.

Wolves will be looking to do the league double over Manchester United just like they did in their 2024/25 campaign.

As for the meetings between Aston Villa, their first meeting will be Saturday 29th of November at Villa Park. They meet again after Christmas in February 28th at home.

Should Wolves find themselves in a tricky position in the 2025/26 season, May could be a very important month with the last run of games being Sunderland, Brighton, Fulham and the to end a trip to Turf Moor to face Burnley.
