'Closing in': Fabrizio Romano says Man City are now about to sign Liverpool teenager, he's a…

While Manchester City have been open to doing business with other Premier League clubs in recent history, they tend not to engage in such exchanges with Liverpool.

Since James Milner’s move to Anfield from the Etihad Stadium, both clubs have steered clear of even trying to sign each other’s players.

Pep Guardiola’s men are currently finalising the last few details before signing Moss, who is a midfielder by trade.

Moss could technically join such names if his move to Manchester City is finalised, even though he is yet to make an appearance for Liverpool’s senior side.

The Sky Blues seem to be focused on building a team for the future, having signed Vitor Reis, who Manchester City rate very highly in January.

City’s strategy has worked in their favour in the past, with Oleksandr Zinchenko and Julian Alvarez becoming key first-team players after being brought in as potential stars for the future.
