According to TeamTalk, United are staying confident to sign Gyokeres. They believe that Ruben Amorim will play a big role in convincing the player. The Portugese used to work with Gyokeres when he was Sporting CP manager.

Gyokeres will be a superb addition to the United squad. He will inject the much needed experience and goals. But, the player will have to give up on European football atleast for one season. He will play a big role in making the final decision about his future.
United do have other options available in the market. Firstly, they are amongst the multiple clubs showing interest in Hugo Ekitike. Then, the Red Devils have Osimhen who is keen to play in Premier League. Lastly, they have Benjamin Sesko who is another target for Arsenal.
