New report names four stars Liverpool could use to grease wheels in move for Newcastle United's …

**The rumours linking Newcastle United's Alexander Isak to Liverpool aren't going away, and in fact, the UK media are getting more desperate to make it happen.**

As we pointed out many times before, when it was Arsenal on the prowl for our prolific striker, who bagged 23 Premier League goals last season, there seems to be a feeling amongst the mainstream media that one of the favoured six clubs should be allowed access to Alexander Isak by divine right.

Newcastle's or indeed Isak's feelings shouldn't matter as a title-contending team should have the red carpet rolled out for them when they come knocking for a player from one of the other 14 peasant clubs.

And as close as Newcastle and Aston Villa are to dismantling that 'Cartel Six', there's no denying that we're still viewed in the media as a peasant club and our top players should be driven to the gates of a cartel club and carried into the ground on a velvet cushion and placed at the feet of the cartel manager as we walk out backwards, bowing and thanking them for their generous compensation.

"They want to swap me for WHO?"

The Express seem pretty desperate for Alexander Isak to go to Liverpool

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Today, [The Express](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/2070691/Liverpool-Alexander-Isak-swap-Nunez-Robertson-Quansah-Elliott) have moved beyond journalism and is now trying to do Arne Slot's job for him. We can get away with blog sites like ours playing fantasy football, but the mainstream media should just stick to facts, or what they deem to be 'facts' anyway.

The Express have named four players Liverpool could use as part-exchange for Isak to drive the price they'll have to pay down to something more manageable.

Newcastle have already slapped a £150 million valuation on Isak, and the Magpies are due to sit down with Isak over a new deal, so it's pretty clear there's no intent to sell, but that's unacceptable to the mainstream media.

Not even all four players together would make the deal worthwhile

-----------------------------------------------------------------

The four players The Express have put forward are Harvey Elliott, Jarell Quansah, who Newcastle have shown an interest in, along with Dawin Nunez and Andy Robertson.

Those last two are a bit of a joke. Newcastle are trying to lower the average age of their defence and bringing in another player over 30 flies right in the face of that goal.

As for Darwin Nunez, where to even begin? I don't think there's anything I can say about that waste of boots that I haven't said before. Swapping Isak for him would be like finding a £50 note on the street, handing it in and getting a half-sincere pat on the head as a thank you.

Even if Liverpool offered money and all four of those players we should say no. On principle alone, but mostly because we've said it loud and proud so many times that Isak is not for sale, that to turn around and sell him now would be a massive sign of weakness.

Urgh, I sounded like Andrew Tate there. I'm going to have to go and wash that off me.
