Liverpool Goalkeeper Vítězslav Jaroš Joins Ajax on Loan

Liverpool FC have officially confirmed that 23-year-old goalkeeper Vitezslav Jaros has joined Ajax on loan for the 2025-26 season.

Jaros will have a familiar face in John Heitinga, who recently left his assistant manager post at [Liverpool](https://liverpooloffside.sbnation.com/) to take charge of the Eredivisie giants. He will have the chance to play [Champions League](https://www.sbnation.com/champions-league) football, with Ajax qualified for the league phase.

Jaros served as the third-choice goalkeeper for last season, and made his senior debut with Liverpool when he replaced Alisson Becker in the second half of a 1-0 win at Crystal Palace last October. Then, he started the Carabao Cup fourth-round success away at Brighton & Hove Albion later that month, and was a part of Arne Slot’s matchday squad on 28 occasions overall in 2024-25.

Recent new signing Armin Pecsi should step into the role of third-choice keeper. All the best for the upcoming season in Amsterdam, Jaros!
